OVERVIEW:
1001 Custom and Rod Ideas was published in the large format style by Argus Publishing Corporation, the
same organization that published Popular Hot Rodding and
Popular Customs.
Featuring hot rods and custom cars, it started as a quarterly issue in 1967, then went to monthly in June, 1975. This lasted until early 1977 when publishing was a bit sporadic. In 1978, the magazine went back to quarterly, and in 1979 it became an annual publication. Publication ceased after the 1983 issue.
