OVERVIEW:
Super Stock and F/X magazine was first published in 1965 by Irwin Stein and Royal Publications.
Stein had numerous car magazines in the era. He was well known as a New York publisher and owner of Lancer Books. He published many genres, but
was best known for science fiction, detective and heroic fantasies.
This was a large format, quarterly publication focused on drag racing and the exciting era as the super stock class evolved. In the September, 1970 issue, it was re-titled as Super Stock & Funny Cars.
