OVERVIEW
Super Stock and F/X magazine was first published in 1965 by Irwin Stein and Royal Publications. Stein had numerous car magazines in the era. He was well known as a New York publisher and owner of Lancer Books. He published many genres, but was best known for science fiction, detective and heroic fantasies.

This was a large format, quarterly publication focused on drag racing and the exciting era as the super stock class evolved. In the September, 1970 issue, it was re-titled as Super Stock & Funny Cars. Note the volume and serial numbering was erratic in this title.
