The titles listed below are ones that we have identified but unfortunately have either limited information, missing start and end dates,or incomplete cover images. We continue to search for these images so that we may publish a complete set. We feel it is important to list them, even with incomplete information, so future researchers may be able to expand our understanding.
- 1320 News (1966 - ??). This was a regional newspaper/magazine covering drag racing in the eastern United States and Canada. Produced by Joe Vanni from Cranston, Rhode Island, the first issue was in April 17, 1966. It is unknown when the title ended.
- Adrenaline (2005 - ??). Published by the American Drag Racing League. Featured Pro Mod cars with many "outlaw" drag machines and bikes. It is unknown when the title ended.
- American Drag Racing (1994 only). Noted drag racing photojournalist John Asher published his own magazine for only three issues in 1994. Only available through subscription. These are high-quality, full-color , 80+ page magazines covering the sport as it was in 1994. These are hard to come by as they were printed in small numbers and for a very limited time. Featured driver profiles, quality photos, and the race coverage for select events.
- Drag News (1955 - 1977) covered a wide range of topics related to drag racing, profiling key figures, events, and developments in the sport. It was one of the longest-running independent drag racing magazines during the golden age of drag racing.
- Drag Racing Action (2003? to 2015?). A bi-monthly title published by Harris Publications. It covered 6,000-hp Top Fuel dragsters and Funny Cars, 225-mph ProMods, 200-mph Pro Stocks and competitive action in the sportsman ranks. John DiBartolomeo was the editor.
- Drag Racing Illustrated (1989 only). Only two issues have been found of this drag racing magazine published monthly by Harris Publications.
- Drag Speed Illustrated (1963? - 1965?). A weekly publication out of North Carolina that covered drag racing up and down the East Coast. A sixteen page newsprint-style format with well illustrated pages and weekly race results from east coast strips.
- Drag Sport Illustrated (1963 - 1966). A pictorial, newspaper-style publication of drag racing events from across the U.S. Phil Bellomy, a young man from Southern California's San Gabriel Valley, partnered with well-known photographer Jim Kelly to launch the new publication. DSI was printed on high-grade Electrabrite newsprint to enhance the appearance of the photography. Four volumes were printed, and scans are available for purchase on the internet.
- Drag Times (1958 - 1977). This magazine covered Midwest drag racing in the late 1950s, including: Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin; Oswego Drag Raceway aka the Big "O" in Oswego, Illinois; U.S. 30 Drag Strip in Crown Point, Indiana; and many others.
- Drag World (1965 - 1984). Started by Terry Cook (ex-Drag News columnist) and Mike Doherty in Los Angeles. Writing, typography, and graphic design was superior to the older independent tabloids. It was later re-titled as Drag Racing Today.
- Eastern Drag News (1962 - 1965). The first two issues were Maryland-Virginia Drag News then went to Eastern Drag News with the third issue. Monk Reynolds of Super Stock & Drag Illustrated (SS&DI) fame started it and eventually sold the rights to Drag Times so he could keep SS&DI going. The last few issues were in a newspaper-style format.
- Full Throttle News (1993/4 to 1996/97? and also from March 2005 - ??). Full Throttle News was a high quality magazine that focused on the nostalgia, sportsman and grass roots drag racer. The publication began in 1994, ended in 1996 or 1997, the restarted in 2005.
- High Performance (1965 - 1966). A full-sized monthly magazine published by Melvin Jacolow. It contained drag racing feature articles and occasionally covered road tests of muscle cars. Only 5 issues have been found by the website author. Mr. Jacolow also published Street & Strip.
- Racer (1992 - present). “America’s Auto Racing Magazine” is an upscale monthly from Tustin, California that has covered oval and road racing since May, 1992. Issues are numbered serially. Racer is still in print and is allied with Vintage Motorsport.
- Rocky Mountain Wheel (1963 - ??). A full-sized monthly magazine published by C.E. Peterson out of Denver, Colorado. It covered the full range of motorsports.
- Southeastern Drag News (1959 - ??). A monthly newsletter published from Miami, Florida by the NHRA and Ernie Schorb. It covered the southeast region and was previously a six-page newsletter called South Florida Drag Strip.
- Tachometer (1955 - 1963). An AHRA publication, content covered drag racing events and happenings, driver profiles, and information on AHRA programs and purses.
- Speed Shop (1971 - ??). This was a monthly magazine from St. Regis Publications in New York City, focusing on technical articles for street and drag strip.
