OVERVIEW:
Motor Trend magazine was published by Motor Trend Publications Inc. with the first address at 548 S. San
Vincente Blvd in Los Angeles. The original publishers were Robert E. Petersen and Robert R. Lindsay.
Its tag line was "The Magazine for a Motoring World". It was a large format title printed monthly and covered a broad swath of automotive topics - Detroit production and concept cars, European general purpose and sports cars, classic cars and other automotive topics of interest to the target reader.

PUBLICATION DATA:
All owners provided net paid circulation data to periodical compendia from 1951 to 2005 (which is the last year for which we have
data at this time). Average monthly print production grew from 76,700 to 1,263,000 issues, a fifteen to sixteen fold increase.
