OVERVIEW Pickup Van & 4WD or "PV4" was first published in October, 1972 by Bond/Parkhurst Publications in Newport Beach, California. The magazine
was part of a CBS division. It was later sold to Petersen Publishing in May, 1982, and Petersen continued publication.
It began as a bi-monthly title for a few months, and then it went to a monthly schedule. It focused on Detroit and foreign vans, pickup and four
wheel drive vehicles. Content included road tests, product evaluations and technical how-to articles.
Publication ended in April, 1984 with the re-titling to Pickups & Mini-Trucks. This new title continued
for a short period until June, 1985.
There were 133 issues published, and all cover images are complete.
