OVERVIEW:
Pickups & Mini-Trucks magazine was a re-titling Pickup Van and 4WD which was formerly a
Bond/Parkhurst publication. Petersen Publishing purchased it in mid-1982. It addressed the strong market interest in sport trucks. Numbering
for this title continued from its predecessor. The title publisher was Mike Anson, and the editor was John Jelinek.
The title started as a sequentially numbered annual series in 1977. In 1983, two issues were published under the Hot Rod Action Series (HRAS). In 1984, it became a monthly title.
