OVERVIEW:
Karting World covered both quarter midgets and karts, and it was likely a merger with Quarter Midget
magazine in late 1958. The merged title started as Quarter Midget World, changed to
Quarter Midget & Karting World, then finally made the transition to Karting World with the May 1960
issue when content shifted solely to karting. The magazine format was digest-sized but switched to full-sized with the April 1962 issue.
OWNERSHIP:
It was published by Midget-Karting World Inc in Inglewood, California. The publisher was John Sauer, and Jack Pelzer was the editor and
general manager.
Pelzer was later elevated to general manager, purchased the title in the mid-1960s, and printed it under Pelzer Publications. He also launched Modern Karting in 1968.
In late 1966 after a break in publishing, ownership changed to Lott Publishing in Santa Monica, California. The publisher was Dave Lott, and the editor was Drake Hudson. This ownership was short-lived, as the title ceased publication in late 1968.

CONTENT COMPLETENESS:
Approximately 96 issues was printed from 1959 through 1968. Cover images are complete except for most of volume 1 and 7/66 through 11/66.
