Chevrolet High Performance was published by Petersen Publishing's Hot Rod operation. It was a full-sized format magazine and focused on Chevrolet performance cars. Content featured more modern vehicles, restoration and technical tips, and street machines.
Like many titles in the 1970s and 1980s, it started as a quarterly magazine in 1986 and went to a bi-monthly schedule in 1987. August 1990 was the last printed issue, then the magazine was re-titled as Chevy High Performance.
Chevrolet High Performance provided net paid circulation data to Gale Research only in 1988 and produced about 36,600 issues on average per month.
A total of 26 issues was published from Spring 1986 through August, 1990 when it was re-titled. Cover images are complete.
