Collectible Automobile - Magazine Covers 1984 to 2000
OVERVIEW: Collectible Automobile magazine was started in 1984 by Publications International, Ltd in Skokie and later Morton Grove,
Illinois. The publisher is Louis Weber. Content is focused on the cars that America loves - those manufactured by U.S. firms from the 1930s to
the 1980s plus the more iconic and pivotal
foreign vehicles. Published on a bi-monthly schedule, it features vehicle profiles written by knowledgeable authors, quality photography and value guides.
The publisher reported net paid circulation data to N.W. Ayer, Gale Research and Oxbridge
Communication's compendia, The Standard Periodical Directory from 1985 through 1998. Annual printed circulation was
sporadic in the beginning, settled in at 25,000 issues from 1989 through 1992, then dropped to 15,000 through 1998.
The magazine began in May, 1984 and it is still published as of early 2021. All cover images are complete, but we have only included issues through 2000 at this time.
