Collectible Automobile magazine was started in 1984 by Publications International, Ltd in Skokie and later Morton Grove,
Illinois. The publisher is Louis Weber. Content is focused on the cars that America loves - those manufactured by U.S. firms from the 1930s to
the 1980s plus the more iconic and pivotal
foreign vehicles. Published on a bi-monthly schedule, it features vehicle profiles written by knowledgeable authors, quality photography and value guides.

to Gale Research's Directory of Publications and Oxbridge
Communication's The Standard Periodical Directory from 1985 through 1998. Average
