OVERVIEW
CSK Publishing and Stephen Schneider had numerous popular titles in its portfolio including:
Vette;
High Performance Pontiac;
Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords; and,
Bracket Racing USA.
Vette was a well established periodical as it was purchased in 1979. But the organization became very prolific in the 1980s, and it all got started with the Schneider Performance Series in 1982. They originally began with a sequentially numbered series, and from it two titles emerged: Cars Illustrated and Muscle Cars.
The publisher created two other special series in the mid to late 1980s: Hemi Muscle and Cars Illustrated Specials.
