OVERVIEW:
Shark Quarterly was a quarterly publication by Wayne Elwood of Ottawa, Canada. It focused on
Corvettes from 1968 to 1982, i.e., the "Shark" generation. Known as a high-quality, well researched publication, content included restoration tips,
technical details, racing history and event coverage for C3 Corvette cars. Mr. Elwood
was a well known individual in the Corvette
community and was a contributor to the formation of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Mr. Elwood sent subscribers a very nice letter explaining the close-out of the title in July, 2000. Out of respect to those who had supported the publication, he wanted to avoid just disappearing or stopping new issues without some communication. The root cause, of course, was the inability to achieve breakeven. Too bad many of the large publishers represented on this website never learned the lessons of appreciation and respect for their customers. Mr. Elwood was a class act!
