OVERVIEW:
The Legend Series - Muscle Cars of the 1960s was published by Amos Press in Sidney, Ohio. Amos Press
published Cars & Parts
magazine, plus it was famous for printing the "Bible" of coin and stamp price guides. In each issue, specific muscle cars were
profiled and technical specifications, options and performance data were highlighted. The magazine was a great advertising platform for
manufacturers of reproduction parts. Wayne Lawrence was the publisher, and the editor was Robert Jay Stevens.
The magazine began with a quarterly publication schedule. It featured all types of muscle cars from the 1960s, which was later expanded to include the 1970s. In 1990, it switched to a bi-monthly schedule. When the title ended in 1992, content shifted to one of two bi-monthly specials, Collectible Series and/or Collector Car.
